Protection and Metering Services

Using our state of the art multifunction relay testing systems, we test, calibrate, and repair all types of protective relaying. Every year, we test thousands of protective relays - all different models, from all different manufacturers.

Pace Technologies can service the simplest induction disc overcurrent relay to the most complex microprocessor-based protection systems. Additionally, our experts will verify, calibrate, and install your metering systems, as well as all associated hardware and software.

Switchgear

Pace provides acceptance commissioning and maintenance testing for all makes of switching devices including:

Air circuit breakers Bulk oil circuit breakers Minimum oil circuit breakers Reclosers Vacuum circuit breakers Insulating gas (SF6) circuit breakers

Transformers and Instrument Transformers

Our personnel have serviced transformers ranging up to 240kV and 80 MVA. In addition, we provide a full range of testing services on Current Transformers and Potential Transformers.

Cable Termination

We can utilize many different types and styles of kits or we can apply hand-taped systems as required. Pace Technologies' personnel are knowledgeable of the latest products and techniques. Training seminars covering the principles of stress relief and implementing hands on training sessions can be hosted in our training facility or at plant sites as per request.

Rotating Machinery

We provide complete motor and generator inspections and testing on AC and DC systems - up to 33,000 hp and 13,800 V.

Power Systems Analysis

Improving your system's power factor can greatly reduce utility charges and increase system efficiencies. Your system's power factor is monitored to determine its operating characteristics. Recommendations based on the demand versus the power factor, as to the size and type of correction equipment that would be needed, will be made following the monitoring period.

Protect your sensitive computer equipment from high voltage spikes and disturbances. The experts from Pace Technologies will attach recording units to your power system to determine the cause of your power disturbances, and then make recommendations to minimize disruptions.
